The weather cooperated, and we enjoyed our luncheon in the courtyard.
But first....a little Bathing Beauty fun...
Do you see any bathing suit straps? Fortunately, Karis' backyard is very private!
It was a very hot day, and the swimming was refreshing. It was also a great way for us to get to know one another in a more "informal" setting!
The day was lots of fun - and we intend to make the Pool Party an annual event!
We are indebted to Queen Mother Sheku's daughter, Caitlin, who came and took photos for us so our Official Court Photographers could join in the fun.

ool Party!
Red and purple balloons welcomed us to the event held June 23 in Karis' backyard.
A fine feast was prepared for us by Cheryl's brother, Steve, who is studying to be a chef (pictured here with Queen Mother Sheku). Everything was fabulous, but the carrot and spinach timbales were a particular hit!.
While we ate, there were lots of stories and fun, as always.
Pat read us an article printed in 1894 about 
After Steve had been thanked and paid for his contribution and had departed, we got into the serious business of swimming.
Before long, the hats were off and everyone was in the pool.
Later, we posed for a photo with Diane's vintage 'Vette. Notice the licence plate (inset)!
